Carol Susan Gump, age 45 of Glade Fork, Mannington, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, October 14, 2015 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center after battling cancer for 10 months. She was born October 12, 1970 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of William Robert Gump of Farmington and Edna Ruth Tennant Efaw and the late Donald Ernest Efaw of Joetown.
She is survived by her fiancée, Mark Stevens of Joetown; three children, Anthony I. Gump of Grangeville, WV, Heather R. Stevens of Joetown and Todd J. Stevens of Wyatt; 2 stepsons, Mark J. Stevens Jr. of Charlottesville, Virginia and Arron J. Stevens of Fairmont; 6 grandchildren, Cheyenne Graham, Shawn Gump, Joshua Gump, Marissa Richter, MaKenna Richter and Blake Stevens; a brother, John C. Gump of Mannington and a sister, Roberta L. Gump of Enterprise; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol attended North Marion High School. She enjoyed spending precious time with her grandchildren.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 2-8pm and from 9am-1pm on Saturday, October 17, 2015 with Funeral Services beginning at 1pm with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. We will miss you so much Aunt Carol, Rest Easy in Heaven with the Angels. We have lost an angel on Earth and Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel. Until we meet again. We love you. To Aunt Edna Ruth, Uncle Bud, John and Birdie and Carol's loved family, as well as the rest of my family. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. She's lost the battle and gained the victory of heaven and all who await her with loving and open arms. May you rejoice in the love you shared and fond memories of Carol you all have to let that be your comfort through this and may you find comfort within each other as you say your goodbyes. Know that even though I can't be with you, you are all on my heart and in my thoughts and prayers. She dances with the Angels, one who's most very important to me, and I can almost guarantee she's smiling and in no pain. I love you all.
