Debra Joann Mafield, age 54 of Dent’s Run, Mannington, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. She was born June 21, 1962 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Dorothy Dalean Martin Hendershot of Mannington and the late Frederick “Jack” Hendershot.
She is survived by her husband Doug Mafield of Mannington; three children, Brian Mafield of Mannington, April Mafield and fiancée Brian Tavener of Mannington, and Nicole Mafield and fiancée John Slater of Joetown; 6 grandchildren, Annabelle Mafield, Devin Mafield, LaAliyah Tavener, Brooklyn Tavener, Reagen Collins, and John Slater; 2 sisters, Jackie (James) Gill of Mannington and Becky (Gary) Patterson of New Cumberland, WV; a mother-in-law, Juanita Mafield of Mannington; Patty Shepard of Metz, David Mafield of Mannington, and Keith and Jane Mafield of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Debra was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gene Mafield; 2 siblings, Jenny Lynn Jarvis and Billy Hendershot; 2 brothers-in-law, Donnie Mafield and Chuck Mafield.
Debra was baptized in Dent’s Run Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors and sewing. She was last employed at Shop-n-Save in Mannington.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington WV on Saturday from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Cyphers officiating. Interment will be at Greene Cemetery.
