Dorothy Ethel Millard 71, of Salt Lick Community, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1945 in Prince George County, MD., a daughter of the late Raymond Elwood and Dorothy Ethel Fenwick Bell.

She is survived by two daughters, April Marie and Elizabeth Cassandra Millard, both of Mannington; two sons, Ronald Lewis Millard and his wife Julie Lynn of West Carollton, OH and Robert Merle Millard of Lincoln County WV; four grandchildren, Hannabell Hope, Grace Mae, Baylan Deforest, and Christopher Andrew Millard; two sisters, Frances Marie Bergmann of Shadyside, MD and April Louise Pritchard in PA; a brother, Raymond Elwood Bell, Jr., of Beltsville, MD; also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lewis Millard on Nov 15, 1991, a sister, Mary Agnes Cochran, and a grandson, Matthew Dennis Young.

She was a member of the Mannington Church of Christ, had volunteered at Marion County Senior Citizens in Mannington, had sung with the Belle and Gents and retired from Nickles Bakery in Fairmont. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Thursday, June 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 am with Evangelist Dr. Michael P. Reese officiating. Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. I took a secretarial class with Dottie at the Vo-tech years ago, and remember well how genuine and friendly she was. I am sorry to hear of her passing.
