George Jones, Sr.

George Junior Jones, Sr., 60, of Nutterfort, WV, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at West Virginia University Hospital. He was born May 31, 1954, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late James Brant Jones and Edith Jane Markley Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jean Leonard Markovich Jones of Nutterfort, WV; one daughter, Tabitha Jones of Ohio, and one son, George Junior Jones, Jr. of Nutterfort, WV; 10 grandchildren; 11 brothers and sisters, James Thomas Jones of Four States, Ellen Jones of Peoria, WV, Susan Starkey of Mannington, David Jones of Mannington, Rebecca Knisley of Winchester, VA, Brenda Price of Rivesville, Frank Jones of Fairmont, Terry Jones of Mannington, Virginia Lucas of Fairmont, Linda Jones of Clarksburg, and Gloria Martin of Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rosemary Ann Jones and Kathy Ann Jones, a brother, Freddie Lee Jones, and several uncles and aunts.

George was Pentecostal by faith. He was employed as a Laborer working odd jobs. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He also enjoyed music. George was an outgoing man and always happy.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St. Mannington on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 5-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Coon officiating.
