Jessie Mike

Jessie James Mike, 80 of Mannington, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born February 9, 1937 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the late James J. and Dorothy Virginia Sturgeon Mike

He is survived by a son, Jesse (Steph) Mike of Shreve, OH; a daughter, Pam (Fred) Sampsel of Blissfield, OH; a brother, Bill (Daisy) Mike of Mannington; four step-children, Frank (Patty) Mike of Fairmont, Jim (Bev) Mike of East Sparta, OH, Bill (Julie) Mike of Farmington, and Becky (John Wheeler) Mike of Millersburg, OH; five grandchildren, Justin (Dallas) Mike of Shreve, OH, Rachel (Dustin) Mike of Millersburg, OH, Shannon, Brittany and Jeremy, all of OH; thirteen step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way, Jesse James Mike Jr.

Jessie enjoyed hunting, camping, riding four-wheelers. He retired from the City of Mannington. He mowed lawns with his brother, Bill.

Jessie was preceded in death by his wife Anna Marie “Boots” Hayes Mike on Jan 20, 2010; three brothers, Donny, Johnny, and Bobbie Mike, and a sister, Gladys Snider.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington WV on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
