John David McMunn, age 56 of Metz, WV passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at West Virginia Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born April 23, 1960 in Fairmont, WV, the son of Lea Mae Cain McMunn of Metz and the late Charles Ray McMunn.
In addition to his mother, John is also survived by his sister, Connie Hugar and husband Al of Mt. Clare, WV; a niece, Jessica Ensminger of Collier, WV; cousins, Jennifer Keeling of Weirton, WV, Maria and Barbara of Georgia, Lolly and Susan of Sumter, SC and Ricky McMunn of Atlanta, GA; 2 aunts, Rebecca Cain of Weirton and Deloris McMunn of Sumter, SC; a great-nephew, Cameron Whitfield; and friends Clifford Thompson and Vic Snider.
In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Steven “Tiny” McMunn.
John worked in construction in Morgantown. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Mannington. He enjoyed fishing.
There will be no visitation or funeral services as cremation was chosen at John’s request. Interment of cremains will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
