Joseph Mark (Joe) Duncan 37, of Mannington WV, was called home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family and in his wife’s arms. He fought a long and courageous battle with Colioblastoma Multiforme (brain cancer). He finally won this battle and is now tumor free, pain free and in God’s Arms. He was born July 13, 1977 at Fairmont, WV, the son of Sue Duncan of Metz, WV and Jerry Lee Duncan of Huey Run, Mannington.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Christina Kendall, of Mannington and five beautiful children, Tyler and Hunter Kendall, and Ronnie Odell, all of Mannington, Arianna and Maura Duncan of North Carolina; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Tonya Duncan of Barrackville; a sister and brother-in-law, Sheryl and Christopher Wicks of Mass; five nephews, a niece, several aunts, uncles and cousins and friends who Joe considered family.

Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul B. and Velma Ruth Duncan, and maternal grandparents, Jesse William and Mildred E. Jones Efaw.

Joe was a loving, caring, wonderful husband, father, son, and friend. He had a passion for hunting and loved being in the woods. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, spending time with his family, friends, and pets. He enjoyed working on antique vehicles with his dad. He attended the Dents Run Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He will remain in their hearts forever.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Evangelist Craig Matheny and Pastor Josh Radcliffe officiating. Burial will be at New Fluharty Cemetery on Plum Run. Memorial contributions may be made to Masters Funeral Home or the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA cares at abta.org)
