Larry Blaine Tennant, 73 of Plum Run, Mannington, WV, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 24, 1941 at Daybrook, WV, a son of the late Earnest and Esther Reeves Tennant.

Larry is survived by his wife and caregiver, Janet Whittaker Tennant of Plum Run; 6 children, Kevin Tennant and wife Susie of Texas, Tammy Jacobs and husband Gary of Mt. Airy, MD, Paula Tennant of Aurora, Tracie Heldreth and husband Frank of Mannington, Kurtiss Tennant of Barrackville and Pamela Tennant and husband Greg of Morgantown; a brother, Richard Tennant and wife Onedia of Fayetteville, WV and a sister, Loretta Fluharty of Plum Run, WV; grandchildren, Tiffany Tennant, Ashleigh and Andrew Cummings, Erika Jacobs, Levi and Danielle Heldreth, Zaccheus and Ella Tennant, Brianna Maxwell, Chase Painter; special friends, Ronnie Powell, Donnie White, Mark Morris, John and Linda Latocha, Olive and Louise Toothman, and the late Joe Potoczny.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Tennant and Wayne Tennant, and a sister, Alice Ruth Hinds.

Larry was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed camping at Big Bear and Bemis. He also enjoyed hiking, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to All Veterans Memorial, c/o Vietnam Veterans of America, P.O. Box 8, Mannington, WV 26582, or the Fairmont Union Mission.

Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Mark Osborne and Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Memorial Garden Cemetery in Fairmont. Pall bearers will Bill Anderson, Ronnie Powell, Jr., Doug Lantz, Kurtiss Tennant, Kevin Tennant and Frank Heldreth.
