Margaret Louise Anderson Carpenter, age 68, of Mannington, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Tygart Center at the Fairmont Campus. She was born March 7, 1947 at Mannington, WV, a daughter of late Columbus (Lum) Gerald Anderson and Mable Harker Anderson.

She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Bill and Diana Kranich Jr. of Sharpsville, PA and Donnie and Mary Satterfield of Enterprise; a son, Louis Gene Carpenter, Jr. of Morgantown; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; her dog, Kaley and grand-dogs, Oreo and Patches; 3 brothers, Sam and Martha Anderson of Boston, Mass., Willis and Patty Anderson of Mannington and Carl Anderson of Mannington; 4 brothers-in-law, Ward and Luz Carpenter of Alamgordo, New Mexico, Charles and Betty Carpenter of Metz, WV, Ronald and Renee Carpenter of Mannington, and Russell (Russ) and Nancy Carpenter of Bentleyville, PA; 4 sisters-in-law, Shirley Carpenter of Mannington, Lelia Splant of Bolingbrook, IL, Audrey Carpenter of Mannington, and George and Ruth Carpenter Fortney of Mannington; former sister-in-law, Judy Cross; close friends, Rose Watkins, Junior Curtis and Terry Gatian.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “Gene” Carpenter on October 13, 2014 to whom she was married to for 49 years; a son-in-law, Russell Heater; daughter-in-law, Samantha Carpenter; brothers, Robert Anderson, Lee and Beth Anderson, Harold “Butter” and Louise Anderson, and Harry Anderson; sisters, Myrtle Jane Anderson Ashley and Rex, Joanne Anderson and Leo Roupe; 6 brothers-in-law, James Orville Carpenter and Sue, Robert Archie Carpenter and Essie Pauline, Franklin Duane Carpenter, Donald Carpenter, Jerry Wayne Carpenter, and Gary Carpenter; one sister-in-law, Velma “Louise” Carpenter Powell and Denny Powell.

Margaret was a homemaker. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She loved collecting angels. She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing with her husband and really enjoyed the Holidays and having company in her home.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Amedysis and Nursing Staff at Tygart Center.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 2-9pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1pm with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Cemetery.
