Pauline Grace Murphy Duncan of Mannington, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at The Arbors at Fairmont. She was 83 years old. She was born July 19, 1931, in Mannington, WV, to the late William Leslie and Ada Alice (Stewart) Hayes.
Pauline was the owner of the former Murphy’s Jewelry in Mannington. She was a member of the Mannington Church of the Nazarene where in the past she had been a Sunday school teacher and served on the church board. Pauline was a graduate of Mannington High School.
She is survived by one brother, Thomas Hayes and his wife Carolyn of Barrackville, a sister, Nancy Gorby, a sister-in-law, Louise Hayes of Mannington and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her first husband, O.H. Murphy, her second husband, Robert Duncan, a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Garland Utt and a brother, William (Bill) Hayes.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St. Mannington on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor James Ellis officiating.
