Richard Lee Jones, 70, of Mannington, WV, died on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born May 29, 1944 in Huey Run, WV, the son of the late Henry “Buck” and Thelma Floyd Jones.
Richard was a member of the Church of Christ and attended at Joe’s Run. He was retired from the Hope Gas Company in Mannington, WV. He enjoyed softball, Nascar racing, hunting, fishing and working Sudoku puzzles. Above all, he enjoyed his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda Gay Wyckoff Jones; one daughter and son-in-law, Kevin and Glenda Brewer; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Jennifer Jones and Richard and Kim Jones, all from Mannington; five grandsons and 3 granddaughters and 2 great-granddaughters, Jeremy Winans and wife Suzanne of Myrtle Beach, SC, Vincent Six, Logan and Colton Brewer, Justin Jones, Devony, Kylee and Josie Jones, all of Mannington, Katlyn Sypolt and Ashley Winans of Myrtle Beach, SC; four brothers and one sister, Don and wife Linda Jones of Fairmont, Rob, Walter and Sam and wife Shirley Jones, all of Mannington, and Dorothy Glasscock of Mannington; several nieces and nephews; two special people, Armstrong and Nancy Wyckoff of Elyria, OH.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Jones and two brothers, Ronald and Roy, and one sister, Florence.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 7 in the funeral home with Evangelist Ron Allan officiating.
