Robert Lee Metz, 66 of Jacksonburg, WV passed away, Monday, March 21, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.  He was born January 1, 1945 in Marion County, WV a son of the late Henry Nelson and Cora Laverna Moore Metz.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roma Dell Floyd Metz; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorenda Kay Metz Quinn and husband Lonnie Dale of Smithfield, WV; a son, Robert Ardell Metz at home; two granddaughters, Ashley Renee Quinn of Fairmont, WV and Heather Lea Quinn of Smithfield, WV and one brother, Thomas Blair Metz and wife Mary of Canton, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Armstrong Metz.

Bob was retired from the WV Department of Highways at Pine Grove where he worked as a grader operator and assistant foreman. He was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Smithfield.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 2-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Evangelist Everett Shreve D.D. officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hastings Cemetery.  Condolences may be left for the family at mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
