Winnie B. Leary, known by many as "Nana", 82, was called home on April 18, 2015, at her residence. She was surrounded by family and friends until her last breath. She was born on July 26, 1932, in Metz, WV, to the late Edgar and Georgia Snyder.

Winnie was a lifelong resident of Metz and a graduate of Mannington High School in 1950. She was employed by Westinghouse for a year and then married Richard Leary, an enlisted man in the U.S. Army. The couple lived in Salzburg, Austria for two years, where Sgt. Leary was stationed. After returning to the U.S., Winnie entered the U.S. Postal service, where she remained for 46 years before retiring as Metz Postmaster in 1992. She was a member of the Mannington Church of the Nazarene. Winnie enjoyed baking, spending time with her friends, traveling, and being with family. She touched many lives with her grace, wisdom, and love. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by two children: daughter, Tena Leary of Mannington, and son, S. Neal Leary and wife Cheryl of Metz; two grandchildren: Tierney E. Leary of Morgantown, WV, and Dylan C. Leary of Metz. She is survived by two siblings: brother, Charles Snyder and wife Anita of Mannington and Melbourne, FL and sister, Susan Lee and husband Jerry of Mannington, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Eleanor, and a brother, Fred, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Winnie has requested that you make a donation to the Church of the Nazarene Mission Fund in her honor and/or Hospice Care Corp. of 1406 Country Club Rd, Fairmont, WV 26554. A celebration of Winnie's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Masters Funeral Home in Mannington.
