Albert Lee Hillberry, age 66 of Idamay, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Tygart Center Nursing Home. He was born February 13, 1949 at Rachel, WV, the son of the late Samuel and Louise Marks French.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jean Merriman Hillberry; a daughter, Paula Tartell and husband James of Mannington; a granddaughter, Amber Fluharty of Carolina, WV; a grandson, Eric Fluharty of Idamay, WV; a great-granddaughter, Briella Hamrich; one sister, Jessie Pickerill and husband Donald of Louisville, KY; seven brothers, Bill Hillberry and wife Carol of Taylorsville, KY, Ray Hillberry and wife Etta of Bedford, KY, Robert Hillberry and wife Marcia, Donnie Hillberry and wife Mary, Ronnie Hillberry and Ted Hillberry, all of Rachel, and Mike Hillberry and wife Vicky of Shinnston.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanna Zorko and Kathy Hillberry of Rachel and Ethel Vogelsburg of Georgia and four brothers, Charles, Jim and Paul of Louisville, KY and Sam of Rachel.

Albert was a Veteran of the United States Army having served from 1968 to 1971. He retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and had also worked at JoAnn Mines in Rachel for 7 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and he loved to play with his grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 2-4:00pm to 6-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00am with Pastor Iria Timmins, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel.
