Donald Wayne “Don” Lowe, Sr., age 71 of Mannington, WV earned his Angel wings on August 14, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1948 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Alvin E. Lowe and Rosa Irene Sheperd Lowe.
Don is survived by his wife Linda Kathleen Lowe of Mannington; three children, Donald (Mary) Lowe Jr. of Idamay, Christopher Lowe of Mannington, and Janina (James) Fetty of Mannington; 6 grandchildren, Alizia Fetty and Joel Blevins, Timmy (Tiffany) Fetty, Breighanna Fetty, Paige Lowe, Ryan Fetty, and Aiden Fetty; one great-granddaughter, Brayliann Fetty; two brothers, Gary Lowe and Jeff (Janet) Lowe; two sisters, Anita (Mike) Webb and Donna (Bob) Sullivan; his mother-in-law, Olive Cross; several nieces and nephews; and two very close friends, Dennis and Danny from the Exxon.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Gail Lowe and Larry Lowe; his fathers-in-law, John Slater and William Cross; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Lowe.
Don was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, cornhole and working on cars. He loved being with his grandkids!
The family would like to Thank WVU Hospice and all the nurses on the 4th floor at UHC for all their loving care for Don.
There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral services. Per Don’s wishes, he was placed in care of the Human Gift Registry to further assist those in need and he will be cremated at a later date. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Masters Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Don was a very good neighbor when he lived on the farm, he would do anything he could to help if needed, he loved his kids very much and always seemed to take great care of them, I'm sure they will miss him very much.

Will miss Don had not seen him in years, we had a lot of good times growing up. He was a few years older than me. But always took up for me, and treated me like family, which we were, his mom and mine were sisters. Prayers for comfort and peace.
