Mabel Katherine "Tootsie" Capet

Mabel Katherine "Tootsie"  Capet, 74, of Mannington died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born August 12, 1942 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Eugene and Mabel L. Dunmire Capet.

 

She is survived by a brother: Robert Lynn Capet of Montana Mines  and four sisters:  Joyce Ann Moore  of  Mannington,  Becky Garland of Fairmont, Nancy Hibbs  and Sharon Martin , both of Mannington;  seven nieces and nephews:  Sandy Smith of Metz, John Capet of  Barrackville,  Joyce Ann Locke of Fairmont, Patty Parsley of  Fairmont, Marsha  Fluharty of Monongah, John Symenski of Colfax  and Frank Symenski of  South Carolina. 

 

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Deloris Capet, Mary Capet, Betty Holcomb, and a brother: Samuel Capet.

 

Mabel was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mannington.  She enjoyed bingo, game shows, crafts, word search puzzles, and going on the nursing home’s field trips. 

 

The family wishes to thank the Fairmont Health & Rehabilitation Center and all the employees for the care given to “Tootsie” while she was a resident there and “Tootsie” loved them all. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home in her memory.

 

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington WV on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from  2-4  and 6-8 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 am, with Rev. Jerry Bush officiating.  Interment will be at I.O.O.F Cemetery, Farmington.

Sorry about your loss. I took care of her as a CNA it the nursing home. I enjoyed looking forward to seeing her sitting in the hall when I came to work the last couple of years. I will miss her.
