Marvin Dewey “Bub” Parrish, 64, of Jericho Addition, Mannington, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at Fairmont General Hospital. He was born Sept 20, 1950 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Marvin Parrish and the late Lillian Eleanor Higgins Parrish Riggs.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Parrish; a daughter, Jennifer Parrish; a daughter-in-law, Hope Parrish, all of Mannington; five sisters, Sue Jolliffe, Mannington, June Willard and Shelia Parrish, both in Ohio, Debra Martin, Worthington, and Patty Slater, Hundred; two brothers, Pete Riggs and Mark Riggs, both of Mannington, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Parrish on Sept 15, 2012, and grandparents: Robert Tristan Higgins and Lillie Bell Higgins. He was a construction worker employed by MEC Construction. He enjoyed riding his Harley.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2-9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday, October 20, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Paul Hibbs, Derek Fourtney, Jimmy Martin, Roger Martin, Sammy Gray, John Hicks, DJ Robinson and James Summers.
