Vonnettia Gump, age 65 of Folsom, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport after a long illness. She was born August 31, 1958 Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Carsie Simon Sullivan and Janice Loven Leasure Sullivan.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Anthony “Tony” Gump of Folsom, WV, her four children, Vonnettia (Steven) Lockard of New Waterford, OH, Michael (Ashley) Bell of Mannington, Marc Bell of Steubenville, OH, and Tracy Bell of East Liverpool, OH, step-son Andy Gump of New Martinsville, WV, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Vonnettia is also survived by 6 sisters, Ada Sullivan, Wilma Sullivan, Betty Felton, Carolyn Sue, Virginia May and Mary Ann McGowen, 6 brothers, Robert, Kacey, Tim, Dave, Carl and Roger Sullivan, sister-in-law Lori Glover of Farmington, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vonnettia was preceded in death by her daughter Georgia Barrick, her son George Bell III, a grandson George Robert Bell IV, two brothers, Jerry Sullivan and Jason Sullivan, her sister Shirley Ann Sullivan, two brothers-in-law Alan Gump and Jeff Glover, and his in-laws, Albert Dale Gump and Sarah Gump.

Vonnettia was a homemaker who enjoyed “spur of the moment” activities and adventures.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 2-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 16, 2023 beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Keith Swiger officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.

I'm so sorry to hear of Von's passing. I always enjoyed our conversations at the post office. She really loved talking about her grandchildren. She told me how much she enjoyed camping out with Tony. My prayers for comfort go up for you Tony and the rest of the family.

Tony..Im so sorry 2 hear about Von..but 1 thung I want u 2 remember is u fullfilled her life../here was never a dual minute around uand u made her happy and u made her smile..my heart will b with u n the days and months ahead and we r only a phone call or click away if u ever need 2 talk or some1 2 just listen.. u made her dreams come true so with all u done she was happy ..happy being your wife.
