William Roy “Sam” Crouser, age 60 of Dents Run, Mannington, WV passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born November 25, 1963 in Mannington, a son of the late William D. “Bill” Crouser and Betty Jeanette Bowers Crouser.
He is survived by his nephew Matthew Crouser of Mannington, several cousins including Danielle (Brian) Woolf of Salem, OH, Cheryl Vanatsky of Columbiana, OH, Debra Pilla of Salem, OH, and Tonia Ash of Shinnston. Sam is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Gary and Beverly Bowers of Mannington, April Sneary and Crystal Bratton whom he considered as daughters, and Cody Harmon whom he considered as a son, and lots of friends whom he considered like family.
In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his sister Kelly Ann Crouser Koptyra, his brother Peter Ray Crouser and a niece, Cheyenne Pakota Koptyra.
Sam enjoyed hunting, shooting guns, riding his bike and drawing. He also enjoyed having a beer and listening to country music and loved having his puppy “Clem” by his side. Sam lived his best life!
There will be no funeral home services as cremation was Sam’s choice of method of final disposition. There will be a celebration of his life later this summer with details to be announced. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
