Alma Ann Frye 84 of Mannington passed away at her home on Warrior Fork Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She enjoyed meeting her friends for breakfast, shopping, yard sales, auctions, reading, and puzzles. She loved her family above and beyond, especially her grandkids. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She ran on the Marion County Rescue Squad with her second husband, enjoyed camping in the mountains, and at the family reunion.
Alma was the eldest daughter of the late Glenn and Bonnie Wyckoff (Ensminger) of Mannington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Harold “Gene” Minger; second husband, John “Howard” Frye Sr., 2 brothers, Wayman “Keith” Wyckoff and (infant) Vaughn Wyckoff; a grandson, Duane Minger; a brother-in-law, Richard Jones.
Survivors include her 6 sons, Stanley (Nora) Minger, Barry (Barb) Minger, Ronnie (Becki) Minger, Bryan “Dee” Minger all of Mannington, John Frye of Smithfield, Terry (Dawn) Frye of Iowa. She has 11 grandchildren, Tiffany (Scott) Miller, Karen(Aaron) Hetrick, Troy (Rebecca) Jenkins, Cassie(Brittany) Neville, Cory (Amy) Minger, Andy Minger, Curt Minger, Heather Greene, Shawn Frye, Shawma (Eric) Davis, Samantha(Chad) Frasher, and Chelsea Frye; 22 great-grandchildren, including Nathan and Evan Miller, Aren, Hailey, Gage, Hayden, Kylie, Josh and Corbin Minger, Mikey and Devin Greene, Lilliana Davis, Kena, and unborn baby Frasher, Tyler and Alicia Pressacco, Cory Fleming, Conner, Emmitt, Robert, Nick, and Tarissa Jenkins; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden Pressacco and Elena Worry
Survivors also include 4 brothers, George (Sandy) Wyckoff, Bill (Janet) Wyckoff, Ray (Nancy) Wyckoff, Glenn “Junior” (Debbie) Wyckoff; 2 sisters, Gay Jones, Sue (Paul) Fravel; a sister-in-law, Kathy Wyckoff; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
At the request of the deceased there will not be funeral services. Masters Funeral Home will be caring for her final arrangements and will be laid to rest immediately at Mannington Memorial Cemetery with a private graveside interment at the convenience of the family.
