
Carolyn Louise Carnes, age 61 of Mannington and owner of the local car dealership Tim Carnes Auto Sales in Mannington, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at United Center Hospital surrounded by all of her family.
She was born March 7, 1962 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Harold Martin and Pasqualina Virginia Capozzi Martin. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Timothy Carnes, their two daughters, Amanda and John Hicks of Mannington and Beth and Tom Liggett of Monongah, Jennifer Parrish of Mannington who was like a daughter, 5 grandchildren, Justin (Kyleeanna) Hicks, Jerrod Hicks, Jacob Hicks, Landon Carnes (girlfriend Adrienne Riley), and Trent Liggett, and a special granddaughter Tinley Barker. She is also survived by her sister Diana Martin of Fairmont, her brother Roger (Sally) Martin, her uncle her aunt Christina McCullough of Wolf Summit, her uncle Myron Vincent of Fairmont, a sister-in-law Vicky Carnes of Illinois, several nieces and nephews, and her best-friend Sunday Barker.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Patty Parrish, Harold Martin, James Martin and Debra Gray, a nephew Michael Parrish, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Along with her husband Tim, Carolyn owned Tim Carnes Auto Sales in Mannington where she loved visiting with her customers. She also loved playing Bingo, going to casinos with her husband, doing puzzles and spending time on her porch. She loved her family and friends very much!
The family would like to give special Thanks to WVU Hospice, nurse Jacob and Dr. Osman and his nurse Amber Shearer for all of their care of Carolyn.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Elizabeth Mason Cemetery in Joetown.
