Carolyn Jo Fluharty, age 82 of Plum Run, Mannington, WV passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at John Manchin Sr. Assisted Living Facility in Farmington. She was born July 20, 1942 in Plum Run, WV a daughter of the late Joe Toothman and Ethel Metz Toothman.
She is survived by her husband Danny Lee Fluharty with whom she has been married to for 62 years, her two sons, Kip Fluharty of Plum Run and Tim (Heather) Fluharty of Mannington, and a former daughter-in-law Jennifer Fluharty of Fairmont. Carolyn in also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Andy Fluharty, Samantha Fluharty, Mikaela Schrader, Hunter Fluharty, Riley Fluharty and Cody Fluharty, and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was a homemaker and a farmer and was a member of the Plum Run Methodist Church. She had previously cooked at the Waynesburg Stock Sale in Waynesburg, PA. She enjoyed attending TOPS and playing Dominoes with church members.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 from 4-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on September 5, 2024 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Larry Kincell officiating. Interment will follow at the New Fluharty Cemetery on Plum Run.
So sorry for the loss of Carolyn! She was such a nice person and a hard worker. My mother, Connie (Harker) Pyles took us to visit her when we were very young. I had to get rid of my cat Muffin , and we took her to their farm to live. I was sad but knew she would take care of it.We also visited her Mother, Aunt Ethel and Father,Uncle Joe Toothman and we would see her there. Prayers sent for the Family as she is at peace and no longer in pain. God Bless her and the family.Love all of you!!! Thinking of all as you go thru this time of loss.
