As we prepare to say goodbye to our hero, our mentor, our father and grandfather, we remember a man of few words but his actions spoke volumes! His love for his family and commitment to his hard and unwavering faith has left an impact on his family. He was a man who believed in actions over words and never left without giving a hug that made you feel protected and loved.

“God saw that he was getting tired, a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered, “Come with me”. With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away. Although we dearly loved him, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands to rest. God broker our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!”

Donna and I offer sincere condolences at this difficult time. Poet Thomas Cambell wrote "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die". One of my memories from Mannington is Clark hitting baseballs from our yard to Uncle Tom. He caught the flyballs and threw them back to me and I gave to Clark.
