Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to the family and friends of Courtney Michelle Miller, age 37 of Mannington, WV who passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born December 30th, 1984 in Fairmont, WV, the daughter of Carl Miller of Mannington (and Penny) and Melisa “Missy” Perkins of Fairmont.

In addition to her loving parents, Courtney is survived by her three children that she loved fiercely, Haylee Marie Miller, Hudson Zachary Miller, and Heston Carl Miller, her loving grandparents, Don and Judy Miller of Mannington and Joe and Linda Perkins of Fairmont, her Uncle Dave and Cindy Perkins, Uncle Freeland and Crystal Miller, Uncle John and Aunt Meredith “Mert” Winston, and her cousins, Nakell, Lexi, Jace, Levi and Patrick. In addition to many other family members, she's survived by an even larger number of friends that will miss her dearly.

Courtney was preceded in death by her cousin Freeland “Bub” Miller.

Courtney was a 2003 Graduate of North Marion High School where she was highly involved in FFA. She spent the majority of her career working alongside her father, Carl, and they were quite the team. Courtney had many passions and loves in life. Taking care of animals always brought her so much joy, from her earliest childhood of riding her horse and Best Friend “Marco Polo” to her lifelong passion of rescuing every cat or dog that needed a home.. Courtney loved to collect Jadeite, Fiesta War, and various other items to decorate her home. She had this special talent of creating the most cozy, comfortable home. The moment you walked in, it just felt and smelled peaceful!

Spending time fishing, camping, and swimming with her family, especially her children, that was her happy place. She greatly enjoyed thrift shopping, yard sales and Mud Boggs! She enjoyed Jeeping and Music. She always had the biggest grin on her face.

Those of us that knew and loved Courtney will miss her infectious laugh, silly personality, and her beautiful soul. We'll also miss her delicious cooking, especially during Sunday meals with the family. She always made those around her smile and we will honor her by continuing to smile at the thought of her memory. Rest in peace our Sweet Angel. Our lives will never be the same. We will love you forever!

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 2-8:00pm. From the day you were born ,you brought such joy into our lives. Your mama work very hard to bring you into this world. Everything we did together made you happy..you were such a happy little girl. You always had a cat or dog, a horse or a goat. You were such an animal lover. You ran up and down in our back yard so many times a day you made me dizzy. You had so much energy and love of life . We cooked together, we always made pumpkin cookies and bread. We sang together, you would go get our church song book and we would sing hymns together before taking a nap. You loved going to vacation bible school. We shopped together and I loved buying you a new dress. When I was doing bills, you would be on my old word processor. You were so smart, making up stories or writing poetry to me or your mom. I have wonderful memories I will cherish and hold in my heart. When i have to say Good-by.... I will sing one of your favorites...."you are my sunshine, my only sunshine..."

My most heartfelt sympathy to all the family. Missy and I were the best of friends. I know the Perkins and Miller families. Two great families that feels like an extended family. Kids that grow up on the ridge seem to always stay close in heart. An injury to one is an injury to all. Then my heart bleeds for Carl and Penny and the children left behind. Penny and I worked together in ICU for several yrs.Sometimes they are no real words to comfort the parents, grandparents, children and all left behind. We must remember the happy moments. One of mine will seeing that little blonde haired girl offering rides on her pony to my boys when they were very small. Life is so hard anymore and it seems there are many things we cannot at all understand. To Missy, Carl, Penny, Linda, Joe, Judy, Don and three children I send my biggest hug and a painful heart. Our family will keep you in our prayers and please know we care and will help if needed .
Much love always
Brenda, Randy, Tyler and Tristan Kline

I'm still grieving the lost of someone. That I loved, adore, admire and who made my every seem perfect even though its not. Courtney Michelle Miller. Was awesome on all levels. She told me she isn't perfect and she wil never give anyone that illusion. She only can try to be the best person she can be in life. She even more understood her struggle would be a challenge. She says she loved her kids. And wanted to get her life together because she wanted them to be mote into her life. She loved me and I loved her unconditionally. She wrote me a deep letter saying I made her happy. And she made me happy as well. I will always love her and miss her. Day to day. Courtney Miller RIP.. ❤😇🙏
