Darlene Renee Ashley, age 57 of Farmington, WV passed away at her residence on Monday, October 2, 2023. She was born February 27, 1966 at Fairmont, WV a daughter of Carol Tharp Snider of Mannington, the late Robert Lee Ashley, and the late Robert Russell Snider. She is survived by her daughter Jeannie Ann Ashley of Idamay and three grandchildren, Kaden, Mailee and Paislee. Darlene is also survived by her brother Clinton (Kathy) Ashley of Fairmont, two sisters, Janet Ann Hendershot of Mannington, and Tammy Park of Mannington, and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter Shelly Darlene Ashley, a brother Robert Lee “Junior” Ashley, and her nephew Michael Hendershot. Darlene was a 1985 graduate of North Marion High School who was a Protestant by Faith. She formerly worked as a cafeteria worker at Fairmont State College, for the West Virginia Department of Highways, and also as a bartender. Darlene loved life and always enjoyed having fun and having a good time! Visitation will be held at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 10:30am to 1:00pm with graveside services immediately following at Viewpoint Cemetery.
So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed spending time talking with Darlene at camp. She was always cracking jokes to make you laugh. Such a wonderful sole. Sending prayers for the family.
