Diana Joyce Toothman, age 81 of Metz, WV who passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at WVU Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born December 30, 1942 in Mannington. A daughter of the late Earl Franklin “Pikey’ Brummage and Grace Alice Kerr Brummage.
She is survived by her three children, William “Bill” Toothman Jr. wife Michelle of Rivesville, Timothy Todd Toothman and wife Kymberley of Metz, and Alice Louise Thompson and husband Timothy of Carolina, 5 grandchildren, Jessica Renee Toothman, Corey Levi Toothman, Matthew Scott Hopwood, Kayley Grace Toothman, and Nate Toothman, and two great-grandchildren, Anakin Toothman and Adeline Toothman. Joyce is also survived by her brother-in-law John Toothman Sr. of Ohio and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Blenn Toothman Sr. who died April 1, 2023, 5 siblings, Geraldine “Jerry” Santee, Jacqueline “Jackie” Wilson, Jean Loughlin, Janet Ashcraft and James “Sonny” Brummage, and a sister-in-law Rebecca Jane Toothman.
Joyce was a graduate of Mannington High School, Class of 1960. She went on to become a telephone operator. She was former member and treasurer of the Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and her husband. Joyce also enjoyed eating out with friends and family. Her family was always the love of her life!
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 3-8:00pm as well as on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 9:30-10:30am with funeral services beginning at 10:30am with Pastor Bill Toothman Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
