Reverend Donald Ray “Don” Riffle, age 89 of Mohans Run Rd. Mannington, WV, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Webster Springs, WV on September 14, 1933, a son of the late Thomas William Riffle and Hazel Hamrick Knicley Riffle.
He is survived by his three children, Dawn Hammond and husband Danny of Mannington, WV, Donald Ray Riffle and wife Jill of Cincinnati, OH, and Pamela Baker and husband Joey of Mannington, WV, and 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Don is also survived by three siblings, Thomas William “Bill” Riffle Jr. and wife Carla of Kansas City, MO, Jane Atkinson and husband Don of Holden, MO and David Riffle of Chilhowee, MO, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife Saundra Jean Riffle who died Dec. 15, 2008, four sisters, Louise Smith, Helen Currey, Frances Hartley and Eleanor Ball, one brother Robert Riffle, and a daughter-in-law Becky Riffle.
Don was a Veteran having proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge #265 of Warrensburg, MO, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Kansas City, MO and the Evangelical Christian Inc. He was faithful attendee of the Ireland Chapel Church in Farmington. He was a traveling minister. Don enjoyed playing Gospel and Blue Grass Music, even singing on the local radio station WMMN with his sister at the age of 10. He learned to play the guitar at the age of 7 from his father. He had also played in Opera’s in Texas and loved being a winter Texan! Don was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
The family would like to express a “Thank You” to Don’s caregivers Shilo Lambert, Debbie Meadows, and Destiny Matusky for all of their time and help! They also would like to say “Thank You” to Fresenius Kidney Care Home Dialysis Staff for the years of wonderful care and patience.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 3-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, February 23, 2023 beginning at 12:00pm with Reverend Richard Fluharty and Reverend Bill Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel where Full Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Navy and the Marion County Veterans Council.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. It was such a privilege to know Mr.Riffle. He was the sweetest most kind person , and will be missed dearly.
Our prayers go out to the entire Family. Don, was a great man and accomplished many great things in his lifetime.

I wish I could be there, but I made sure I let Don know how much he meant to me when he still came to Texas in the winter. I miss him, his sermons, his voice and his friendship. Rest in peace, my dear friend. Doug and I miss you.
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Don playing and singing at many ECI Conference meeting. He was always quick with a big smile, handshake or hug and a friendly hello. We will miss him at conference but know he is singing in Heaven now. Even though he can't come to us, if we are faithful, we can go to him. May God comfort you in your time of loss.
RIP Brother Don. We all miss you, your stories and singing. I'll be listening to some of the videos I made.

We enjoyed our years with Don in Texas. Both with music and church service. We were lucky to have met some of his wonderful family and cherish those times also. Our condolences go out to each one of you.
