Liz always said “when wounds are healed by love, the scar is beautiful” “Life is a journey“. Taking a look back at some of Liz’s journey; she graduated from Mannington High School in 1978. She also won the title of the Mannington Fair Queen 1978. That same year she continued to show her true strength and beauty paving the way for many women in the coal mining industry. She was the true definition of a BAD A$$. Liz went on mining coal for the Martinka Coal Mines. Her proudest accomplishment was her life journey into Motherhood. She was beaming with joy when she was blessed with her grandchildren and then was on top of the world when she was blessed yet again with her great grandchildren. She had a great passion for cooking and riding motorcycles. She was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge # 1344 and the Elks Lodge #388 for 20 + years. She was a very selfless person who volunteered her time cooking for the Moose, Elks, & Starkey’s Old Time Saloon. Every meal sold out quickly as everyone loved her food.
Liz was always down for a good time and was always the life of party. She loved riding Harley’s with her biker brothers and sisters especially her long time companion, Joe. One of her favorite things to do was going to bike week with everyone. She made many memories there and shared lots of laughs and good times with everyone. She will missed by all of the people that love her.
