Gloria Mae Roupe Tennant, age 78 of Mannington, WV passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 15, 1944 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas Roupe and Dola Opal LeVelle Roupe.
She is survived by three daughters, Ginger Jolliffe of Mannington, Reba (Jason) Bell of Monongah, and Robin Tennant and Karen Pyles of Fairview; four grandchildren, Stephannie Slater, Gwen Jolliffe, Ryan Jolliffe, and Mariah Jolliffe; four great-grandchildren, Hailey Slater, Harley Slater, Blake Stevens, and Rylee Jolliffe; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Nettie Falbo of Mannington, and her brother, Tom Roupe of Mannington.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Dave Tennant who died in 2002; and three brothers, Sam Roupe, Dick Roupe, and Bill Roupe.
Gloria loved crocheting and enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel. She was a longtime member of the Mannington Women of the Moose Club having served in many offices for the organization. She retired from the DHHR as a social worker having served for 38 years.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 12-8:00pm. The Women of the Moose will hold a ceremony at 7:00pm Saturday evening. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, September 4, 2022 beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Cemetery. There will be a dinner for family and friends immediately following graveside services at the Mannington Moose Lodge in the ballroom.
