Harold Napoleon “Benny” Barker, age 85 of Mannington, WV passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 in Mannington. He was born May 12, 1939 in Barrackville, WV a son of the late Thomas Earl Barker and Callie Wright Barker.

He is survived by his daughter Marianne (Randy) Elliston of Bella Vista, AR and his son Richard Todd (Thressa) Barker of Murfreesboro, TN, his six grandchildren, Darryl Barker, James Barker, Ashley Clark, Austin Barker, Ian Barker, and Tyler, and five great-grandchildren, Addie Kruger, Lila Clark, Freya Barker, Elias Barker and Josiah Barker. Benny is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Michelle Barker and Donna Barker, seven brothers and sisters, Mildred (Wayne) Conaway of Farmington, Larry (Sue) Barker of Metz, Ronzel “Bruce” Barker of Rachel, Kenneth (Debbie) Barker of Fairmont, Ann Capps of SC, Glenda (David) Gray of Louisiana, and Tom Barker of Las Vegas, NV., his special niece Kristen Barker of Fairmont, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Barker and Gary Barker, and four brothers, Alvin, Lloyd, Gary and Vinton Barker.

Benny attended Farmington High School and was recognized as a member of the 1954 State Football Champions at Farmington HS. He was a member of the Mannington Elks Lodge the Mannington Moose Lodge and he enjoyed collecting knives and “junk”, and also working in a garden.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 2-6:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Larry Watson officiating. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the Marion County Veterans Council. Interment will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery.
