Jerry Lyn Sponaugle, age 61 of Mannington, WV died on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born September 28, 1957 in Lorain, OH a son of the late Elmer Ronald (Joe) Sponaugle and Emma Pauline Taylor Sponaugle.

Jerry is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Chuck Myers of Mannington; nieces and nephews, Christina Kendall and fiancé Christopher of Mannington, Jessica and Joe Olechoveski of PA, TJ and Cindy Sponaugle of Mannington, Amber Sponaugle and Erica of Fairmont, Ron and Jessika of Shinnston, Amy Jo Sponaugle of Mannington, and Bobbie Jo and Butch Sponaugle of PA; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jerry enjoyed life, his family and music. He never met a stranger. He loved fire trucks and was an Honorary Fireman for Mannington and Farmington Vol. Fire Depts. Everyone should’ve been lucky enough to see the world through his eyes. He loved his little dog “Harley”.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 2-6:30pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 6:30pm with Michael Williams officiating. Cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. Memorial contributions may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.

Jerry will be greatly missed. It has been a long time seeing Jerry, but fondly remember him being at the Firehouse a lot.

So very sorry. Jerry meant a lot to the Harvey family. We all have many wonderful memories or him on Burt town hill. He loved to fuss with Pap and Grammy Gladys babied him like her own ❤️

So sorry for the loss of Jerry. I have many great hildhood memories. He was always the life of all of our cook-outs during the summer. He was always welcome and he knew it. I am thankful to have known him.

It's a sad day loosing Jerry, he never met a stranger. I will never forget the days of him coming to visit the Bradley's next door, Jerry would come to the fence and wait for me or my dad to come outside to talk to him. Jerry was always excited to see you, heaven gained a loving soul. You will be missed by many Jerry.
