Karen “Gale” Lemley, age 70 of Katy, WV passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, January 18, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born April 6, 1952 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Bruce and Letha Yost Fink, formerly of Fairview.
Gale is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jim Lemley of Katy, WV, her daughter Joey Beth Shepherd and husband JD of Myrtle Beach, SC, and step-son Jimmy Lemley and wife Tonya of Metz, WV. She is also survived by her sister, Kathi Conaway and husband TC of Fairview, and her brother, David Fink and wife Cindy of Barrackville, and her grandchildren, Bryce McKinney and Riley McKinney, both of Fairmont, and Gavan Lemley of Metz.
In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her brother Terry Fink, formerly of Barrackville.
After graduating from Fairview High School in 1970, Gale spent her working days at Westinghouse/Philips Lighting. She enjoyed attending sporting events, crafting, fishing, her friends and most importantly, anything that involved her grandchildren! She attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Fairview. Gale was a kind-hearted and giving person. One of her most selfless acts in life was being a kidney donor to her dear brother Terry. She took great pride in being able to help her brother and all of her family.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 3-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 21, 2023 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Linda Friend officiating. Interment will follow at the BeeGum Cemetery.
