Linda Marie Cain, age 75 of Mannington, WV passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 after being ill for a while at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 29, 1948 in Tucker Fork, Joetown, WV a daughter of the late Richard Scott Reynolds and Edna Marie Rice Reynolds.

She is survived by her son Shawn Cain of Mannington, her brother Bryce (Sheri) Reynolds of Mannington and two half-brothers, Woody Reynolds of Florida and William (Michelle) Reynolds of Littleton. Linda is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Zach Reynolds, Matt Reynolds, Raegen Reynolds, Reese Reynolds and Rosalie Reynolds, one great-nephew Noah Reynolds, two great-nieces, Thea and Jaelynn Reynolds, and her childhood best-friend who was like her sister, Lucy Lambert

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband David Foster Cain, a brother James Nelson Reynolds, two brothers who died in infancy, Richard S. Reynolds II and Richard Samuel Reynolds, and a nephew Richard “Ricky” Burns Reynolds.

Linda was a 1967 graduate of Mannington High School who attended the Mannington Church of the Nazarene. She loved her animals and enjoyed cooking at many of the restaurants she owned and operated, including Shawn’s Diner. She also loved caring for children and helped raise many in Mannington.

Visitation will be held at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm with cremation to follow, which was Linda’s choice for final disposition.
