Bud Gump was a extraordinary friend. We spent nearly two years together in the Army, at Fort Bliss, and at a HAWK Missile Site on the south of Okinawa. I was honored to be his friend. We trained, worked, pulled guard, drank, survived several Super Typhoons, and stayed up through many long nights together. We also shared our lives "back in the World" together many times. Bud shared his hopes, wishes, and aspirations with me. As I did with him. I've always hoped he found his dreams.
