Marguerite Bradley, better known as Peg, passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones, after living a long and fulfilling life. She was born on July 14, 1927 in Mannington, WV. She was the fifth of six children born to Harry and Naomi (Price) Fluharty. Peg was married to Ray Denver "Jack" Bradley and they are survived by their four children and spouses: Ray Denver “Denny” Jr. and Christine Bradley, William “Bill” Kirk and Christine Bradley, Cheryl Renee and Steve Huff, and Caroline Denise and Rick Cook.

Peg was preceded in death by her husband Jack Bradley, her parents, Harry and Naomi Fluharty, her five siblings; Wayne Fluharty, Virginia Sine, Frederick Fluharty, Dallas Fluharty, Norma Mobley, and all of their spouses, her mother-in-law and father-in-law; Ottie Ray and Opal Bradley, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law; June and Paul Spiker, her cherished granddaughter; Peggy Lee Sanders Cook, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Peg is survived by many grandchildren: Michael Wayne Tonkery, LeeAnn Rachel Tonkery-West, Harry Bradley, Matthew Bradley, Alyssa Bradley-Lacaria, Hunter Bradley, Josh Cook, Jeremy Cook, Kelsey Cook, and Jessica Cook, great-grandchildren: Rayanna, Summer, Sydney, Dante, Harmony, Axel, Alayna, Molly, and Elliot, great-great grandchildren: Jasper and Rayne....and several nieces and nephews.

Our mom/grammy was an excellent homemaker! She loved sewing, quilting and cooking. She was known for her baking and candy, especially her famous peanut butter fudge and pies....oh, and we can't forget those homemade noodles. She was so talented and artistic. She loved painting and drawing. During the holidays she would create the most beautifully detailed candy houses that we were always in awe of. Gardening was another favorite pastime of hers and she certainly had a green thumb; from vegetables to flowers, she could grow it all. She was a huge WVU and Pirates fan and enjoyed watching the games, especially with her grandson Jeremy. She spent her quiet times reading her bible and working on puzzles. She loved going for rides, especially when all the leaves were changing or when the Christmas lights were out. The Texas Roadhouse was her FAVORITE place to eat, she may have been little but she could devour a whole 12 oz ribeye. Last but certainly not least, her GREATEST LOVE was spending time with all her grandchildren. She always told us that the kids kept her young.

Viewing and funeral arrangements for Marguerite “Peg” Bradley will be held at Masters Funeral Home, 209 E Main Street, Mannington (304-986-1121) on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Minister Kevin Lough officiating. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons (per her request): Michael Tonkery, Harry Bradley, Matthew Bradley, Hunter Bradley, Josh Cook, and Jeremy Cook.

Mom and I (Cheryl) wanted to let Steve, LeeAnn, and Rayanna know how thankful and blessed we were to have them in our lives, Without them, mom's fervent wish to die at home surrounded by family, would not have been possible. Love you all so much!!!

Our family would also like to give a special thanks to Dr. Paul Alappat M.D. Without him, she would not have had these last couple decades to enjoy. His compassion and concern for his patients was ALWAYS above and beyond. We would also like to thank the Amedisys Nurses (Trish and Lauren) for their kindness and compassion not only for mom/grammy but for us as well.
