Michael Elliott Hendershot, age 35 of Elkins, WV passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020. He was born on June 11, 1985 in Fairmont, WV, a son of Jimmy Hendershot of Mannington and Janet Ashley Hendershot of Mannington.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his wife Sasha Hayes Hendershot of Mannington; a son, Levi Michael Hendershot of Mannington and step-son, Coalson Hendershot; a brother, Alva Ashley of Enterprise, Alabama, and a sister, Tiffany and Kenneth Carman of Mannington; his paternal grandfather, Bill and Becky Hendershot and maternal grandmother, Carol Snider of Brush Run, Mannington; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jackie Hendershot; maternal grandfather, Bob Snider; two uncles, Robert Lee Ashley and Robert Wright, and a cousin, Shelly Ashley.
Michael was a heavy equipment operator, pipe-liner, hunter and fisherman, and a tree-trimmer. He was baptized in the Baptist Church at Dent’s Run.
The family will receive friends and family at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00am with Pastor Doug Cyphers officiating. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery in Dents Run. As we continue to recognize attending services during the COVID-19 situation may not be in the best interest for some, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
