Nellie Burdine

Nellie Rose Burdine, age 80, of Smithfield, WV, passed on to be with her Savior on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at United Hospital in Clarksburg. She was born on July 29, 1939, in Buck Run, near Smithfield, WV, a daughter of the late Charles L. Burdine and Frances E. Burdine. She is survived by 5 brothers, Charles Leroy Burdine, Thomas Lindsay Burdine, Vernon Howard Burdine (all three living at home), Samuel Alvin Burdine and wife JoAnn of East Liverpool, OH, and Willard Eugene Burdine and wife Rosie of New Manchester, WV; nieces and nephews, Anita and Rob Hopwood of New Cumberland, WV, Loretta and Clint Miller of East Liverpool, OH, Willard Burdine, Jr., of Chester, WV, and Sammy Burdine of Paris, OH; great-nieces and nephews, Joy Hopwood of Chester, WV, Devynn Hopwood of New Cumberland, WV, and Matt Miller of East Liverpool, OH; and a great-great-nephew, Shane Marshall. In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by one sister, Leota May Burdine who died at 13 months. Nellie was a lifelong member of the Pricetown Church of Christ. Family and friends may call at the Pricetown Church of Christ, 4358 Mannington Road, on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Nellie. She was such a sweet lady, that I always looked forward to seeing when visiting my grandparents. The whole Burdine family is in our thoughts and prayers!
