Patty Ann Parrish

Patty Ann Parrish, age 69 of Mannington, West Virginia who passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Fairmont Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1953 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Harold Martin and Pasqualina Virginia Capozzi Martin.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Parrish of Mannington; two sisters, Diana Martin of Fairmont and Carolyn (Tim) Carnes of Mannington, and one brother, Roger (Sally) Martin of Mannington; a sister-In-law, Debra Martin of Worthington; two aunts, Carrie Martin and Christina McCough of Wolf Summit, and one uncle, Myron Vincent of Fairmont; a daughter-in-law, Hope Parrish Hibbs, and son-in-law, Paul Hibbs; a nephew, Sammy (Chrissy) Gray, and four nieces, Amanda (John) Hicks, Beth (Tom) Liggett, Molly Martin and Amy Riggs, and a special nephew who was like a son, Noah Martin; great-nieces and nephews include Cody (Cheyenne) Gray, Marysa (Bryan) Stevens, Lexi Gray, Justin Hicks, Jerrod Hicks, Jacob Hicks, Landon Carnes, Sophia and Emilia Jones, Jacob (Charity) Shoemaker, and Skylar Shoemaker; great-great-nephew and niece, Liam Shoemaker and Emmalyn Gray; her honorary kids, Johnna Starkey, Alex Allen and Misty Starkey; and her special grandkids, Christopher, Gavin, Emmie, Grace, John and Liam Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dewey "Bub" Parrish who died October 17, 2014; a son, Michael Parrish; and two brothers and one sister, Jimmy Martin, Harold Martin, and Debbie Gray; and too many special family and friends to list.

Patty was a homemaker who enjoyed watching her television, especially soap operas. She also enjoyed working jig-saw puzzles and playing Bingo. She always loved being with her family!

The family would like to send their heartfelt appreciation to Patty’s nurse Chrissy Snider for the excellent care she gave Patty during her most recent stay in the hospital.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 4, 2022 beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Larry Kincell officiating. Interment will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
