Robert W. “Butch” Terwilliger, 68, of Farmington, WV, passed away peacefully in his sleep from a battle with ALS on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1954, in Trenton, NJ, a son of the late Robert J. Terwilliger and Wilda Rose Watson Terwilliger.

He is survived by 10 siblings, Cathy Silvestro of Trenton, NJ, Gary Terwilliger and wife Joanne of Trenton, NJ, Brad Terwilliger and wife Corey of Fairmont, Mike Terwilliger and wife Barb of Bridgeport, Margie Byrd and husband Kevin of Salem, Joyce Baker and partner Rick Anderson of Barrackville, Joe Terwilliger of Farmington, Kelly Kallel and husband Rob of Lost Creek, Kevin Terwilliger and wife Whitney of Trenton, NJ, and Shane Terwilliger and wife Tara of Guyton, GA; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Robert also left behind a close friend, Lora Lynn Parrish.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Terwilliger and Sharon Newman.

Robert was a 1973 graduate of Trenton Central High School and a long-standing member of 30 years at the Mannington Church of the Nazarene. He worked in housekeeping at the Wishing Well Nursing Home for 20 years. Robert was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, listening and cheering on his team.

The family would like to give special thanks for the great attention and support provided to Robert by the staff of Amedisys Home Health.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 E. Main St, Mannington, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 2-6pm, where a funeral service will be held between 6-7pm, with Pastor Chuck Legg officiating. Robert will be laid to rest beside his parents at Greenwood Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for the Blind, The ALS Association and the Mannington Church of the Nazarene.
