William Troy Mike Sr., age 83 of Drakes Run, Mannington, WV passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1939 in Marion County, WV, a son of the late James Joseph Mike and Virginia M. Sturgeon Mike.
He is survived by three children, James (Beverly) Mike of East Sparta, OH, William (Julie) Troy Mike Jr. of Davys Run, Fairmont, WV, and Rebecca Jane (John) Wheeler of Millersburg, OH; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and his dog and best friend “Pepper”.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mike, his second wife, Daisy Mike, two children, Virginia Mike and Frank Mike, three brothers, Jessie, Johnny and Bobby, a half-brother, Donnie and a half-sister, Gladys.
William had worked in the oil fields as well as the brickyards. He and his brother Jessie mowed many yards in the Mannington Area. He had enlisted in the Army but was unable to serve due to his age. William loved spending time with his family and was a “Hero” to all of his children! He enjoyed going camping, riding four-wheelers and hunting. He was enjoyed working on automobiles. He was a Methodist by Faith and was a member of the Bee Gum Church.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 5-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Lee Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at the Bee Gum Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedysis Hospice.

Sorry for the Mike family for there loss . I hunted and shared stories with them and they helped me in many ways .They treated me like family and shared with what they had even if they did have much . Most of all having my buddy Bill having to go threw this hard time when much rather be hunting Big Bucks in the hollow with his family . These folks had what money can't buy !

Bill and Daisy were good people and good friends. When they were able to attend Bee Gum Church, they were both active and loved by all. They were very helpful to my parents when they were living and I offer my sincere thoughts and prayers to the family. God Bless you.
